Position Summary

NEOTech is seeking a Global Commodity Manager – Custom Parts & Strategic Sourcing to lead sourcing, supplier strategy, cost management, and supply chain development for custom fabricated parts and related commodities supporting NEOTech’s Build-to-Print (BTP) business across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute global commodity strategies for custom fabricated parts and related commodities to support NEOTech’s operational and financial objectives.

  • Drive supplier consolidation, dual sourcing, risk mitigation, and long-term supply chain resiliency initiatives.

  • Identify, evaluate, qualify, and develop competitive global suppliers capable of supporting complex BTP manufacturing requirements.

  • Establish strategic partnerships with suppliers to improve pricing, lead-time, technology, quality, and service performance.

  • Lead all RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, and sourcing activities for custom fabricated commodities.

  • Perform detailed quote analysis, should-cost modeling, benchmarking, and total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis.

  • Aggressively negotiate pricing, payment terms, rebates, inventory programs, tooling, lead-times, and commercial agreements.

  • Drive annual cost reduction initiatives and productivity savings across assigned commodities.

  • Analyze market trends, raw material impacts, and supply chain risks to proactively develop mitigation strategies.

  • Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for custom fabrication technologies and related manufacturing processes.

  • Partner with Engineering and suppliers on DFM, manufacturability improvements, material selection, and technical problem solving.

  • Support prototype, NPI, and production ramp activities to ensure successful launches and continuity of supply.

  • Collaborate with Quality teams on supplier performance, corrective actions, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Own supplier relationship management for assigned commodities, including delivery, quality, responsiveness, capacity, and cost performance.

  • Conduct supplier business reviews, site visits, and capability assessments.

  • Monitor supplier KPIs and drive accountability for continuous improvement.

  • Act as the primary escalation point for critical supplier issues and shortages.

  • Work closely with Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, Program Management, Finance, and Executive Leadership to align sourcing strategies with business objectives.

  • Present sourcing strategies, supplier recommendations, cost reduction initiatives, and risk assessments to leadership teams.

  • Support global standardization initiatives for suppliers, pricing structures, contracts, and payment terms.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related technical field.

  • 7+ years of experience in commodity management, strategic sourcing, supply chain, procurement, or supplier development.

  • Strong experience with custom fabricated parts or EMS related manufacturing commodities.

  • Experience leading RFQ/RFP processes, supplier negotiations, and commercial agreements.

  • Strong analytical and cost modeling skills with the ability to perform TCO and market analysis.

  • Knowledge of fabrication technologies, manufacturing processes, materials, lead-times, and supplier capabilities.

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and supplier management skills.

  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

  • Proficiency with ERP systems, Excel, and supply chain analytics tools.

  • Strong experience in:

    • Technical procurement or planning experience with custom or electrical components

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in EMS, aerospace, defense, medical, industrial, or high-reliability manufacturing environments.

  • Knowledge of supplier qualification methodologies and manufacturing quality standards.

  • Experience managing global suppliers across the U.S., Mexico, and Asia.

  • Strong understanding of supply chain risk mitigation and dual sourcing strategies.

  • Experience supporting BTP (Build-to-Print) manufacturing operations.
