Primary Responsibilities
- Generate RFP’s and execute supplier selection processes to optimize total cost of ownership and supplier alignment with quality and performance standards.
- Monitor and refine key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive supply chain efficiency and cost savings.
- Develop and implement a long-term roadmap for strategically sourcing medium voltage inverters for grid scale energy storage systems.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with critical suppliers to foster collaboration and innovation.
- Develop strategies to enhance supplier performance and reliability.
- Monitor supplier performance and lead key supplier Business Reviews.
- Ensure Master Supply Agreements achieve LG ESVT’s goals of cost management, quality, and service while maintaining supplier accountability.
- Responsible for contract lifecycle management, including enforcing LG ESVT/Supplier obligations and leading timely action on contract renewal/termination decisions.
- Lead procurement processes from requisition and Purchase Order issuance through delivery.
- Drive agenda for weekly meetings with strategic suppliers, to ensure all LG ESVT teams are aligned for project execution with these suppliers.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including supplier financial stability, supplier quality, and geopolitical concerns.
- Proactively address potential supply chain disruptions, including maintaining cadence with alternative suppliers.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in supply chain management, with a focus on strategic sourcing and commodity management.
- Strong product background in batteries, medium voltage transformers, inverters, or other relevant commodities for energy storage integration.
- Proven expertise in supplier negotiation, contract management, and relationship building.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in supply chain management software and data analytics tools.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with experience in mentoring and developing high-performing teams.
- Proven ability to develop and nurture strategic relationships within the renewables sector, complemented by a strong and extensive professional network.

Education & Experience
- B.S. in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; M.S./M.B.A. preferred.
- Significant relevant industry experience may be considered in lieu of advanced degrees.
Travel
- 20% (if local), 40% (if remote)

- This position reports to the Senior Manager – Strategic Sourcing
