Global Chief Innovation Officer

On behalf of a confidential client, Integral Creative Solutions (ICS)—a retained executive search and staffing firm—is seeking a Global Chief Innovation Officer to join a well-resourced leadership team and make an outsized, measurable impact from day one.

About the role

Build and lead the enterprise innovation engine—from horizon-scanning and R&D to new-product incubation and commercialization. You will own the innovation portfolio and translate emerging technology and market shifts into new growth.

Responsibilities

• Own the global innovation strategy and portfolio across the enterprise.
• Lead R&D, incubation, and new-venture development.
• Drive commercialization of new products, services, and business models.
• Own horizon-scanning and the response to emerging technology and market shifts.
• Build the systems, partnerships, and culture that sustain innovation at scale.
• Partner with the CEO and board on innovation priorities and returns.

Requirements

• 15+ years in innovation, R&D, product, or new-venture leadership.
• Proven track record turning innovation investment into commercialized growth.
• Deep experience across R&D, emerging technology, and productization.
• Experience building and leading global innovation organizations.
• Ability to set innovation direction and make portfolio trade-offs.
• Board- and investor-ready communication.
• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or MBA strongly preferred.

• Experience leading innovation across multiple regions and markets.
• Experience with corporate venturing, incubators, or accelerators.
• Experience commercializing AI, digital, or platform innovation.
• Innovation leadership in the client’s markets.

Pay

Base salary range: $475,000 to $600,000, with exact placement determined by skills, years of experience, and interview performance.
