About the role
This position assists with limited aspects of Global Capital Markets trust or entity administration and servicing of high net-worth private and institutional clients. It involves supporting the Relationship Manager, managing client relationships, and ensuring proper administrative management for accounts under responsibility.
Responsibilities
- Supports the Relationship Manager with oversight of client relationships and makes appropriate recommendations regarding routine internal business activities.
- Aids account representatives in revenue-generating activities by providing recommendations and preparing documents for meetings.
- Manages daily implementation of client strategies as required.
- Fosters client relationships by serving as the primary point of contact and making recommendations to enhance the client experience.
- Solves problems and responds to client requests promptly.
- Manages relationships with internal and external service partners, assessing issues requiring immediate attention and resolving others through normal business processes.
- Develops and maintains industry knowledge relevant to the business and communicates this knowledge internally and externally.
- Remains current on industry news and corporate policies and procedures related to the administrative role.
- Ensures compliance with company risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls.
- Promotes a supportive and professional work environment.
- Maintains M&T internal control standards and implements internal and external audit points as needed.
- Completes other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Combined minimum of 3 years higher education and/or work experience.
- Demonstrated focus on customer service and satisfaction.
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree focused on Finance, Business, Economics, or Accounting.
- Working towards CCTS (Certified Corporate Trust Specialist) certification if corporate trust focus.
- Skilled in pertinent software applications and able to learn new ones.
- Experience working in a team environment.
- Interpersonal skills to build trust with clients.
