Global Business Partner 1
About the role
This is not “just another HRBP role.” This is a chance to help shape a global Product & Engineering organization as it evolves, scales and matures its operating model. You’ll partner with senior technical leaders through real organizational complexity, connecting people strategy to business outcomes, strengthening leadership capability, and helping teams work better as Pax8 continues to grow.
Responsibilities
Shape people-and-organization strategy: Partner with senior Product & Engineering leaders to translate business priorities into practical people, organization and workforce plans.
Lead through ambiguity: Help leaders make sense of complex, evolving challenges — from structure and decision rights to leadership capability, capacity, incentives and operating model.
Drive org design and operating effectiveness: Support scalable organization design, role clarity, ways of working and operating rhythms that help technical teams move faster and work smarter.
Build future-ready talent plans: Bring focus to succession, leadership capability, critical skills, workforce planning and talent strategies that support growth and performance.
Champion change that sticks: Lead and support large-scale change, helping leaders communicate clearly, build trust quickly and bring people with them.
Coach and influence leaders: Act as a trusted partner to technical leaders — able to challenge thinking, ask the right questions, and support difficult conversations with confidence and care.
Execute brilliantly: Move between strategic advisory and hands-on delivery. You’ll be equally comfortable in executive conversations, working sessions, employee matters and the detailed follow-through that makes change real.
Connect across the organization: Collaborate with People, Product, Engineering and cross-functional partners globally to create joined-up, practical solutions.
Qualifications
Senior business partnering experience: Proven experience partnering with senior leaders across global, complex or fast-scaling environments.
Strong technical aptitude: Experience supporting Product, Engineering, Technology or technical functions would be a real advantage. You don’t need to be an engineer, but you do need to credibly engage with technical leaders, understand complex technology conversations and stay connected to industry trends.
Systems thinking: You look beyond the surface issue and can spot whether the real challenge is structure, decision rights, leadership capability, capacity, incentives, ways of working or the operating model.
Strategic and practical: You can operate at altitude, connect people strategy to business outcomes, and then get into the detail to drive execution.
Strong influence and communication: You build trust quickly, bring clarity to ambiguity, and can influence across levels, functions and geographies.
Insight-led judgement: You use data, patterns and context to inform decisions — without losing the human lens.
People-first maturity: You bring empathy, discretion and resilience, especially in difficult or sensitive situations.
A bit of spark: You’re someone people want to work with — collaborative, commercially minded, humble enough to laugh at yourself, and happy to grab a drink after a big week.
Why Pax8?
We are a bold, growing and ambitious business where your impact can be felt globally. You’ll help leaders build stronger teams, navigate change, and shape an organization that is ready for what’s next.
