Global Business Development Intern

Job Responsibilities

• Assisting staff with presentations for clients
• Participating in team meetings and brainstorming sessions
• Researching, identifying and compiling prospective companies and decision makers in targeted locations and industries around the world
• Aiding in lead generation to track interest in South Carolina as a business destination while marketing the state
• Inputting information and maintaining Department of Commerce's Customer Relationship Management database
• Aiding with events, trade missions, and trade shows by facilitating logistics, preparing marketing materials, etc.
• Conducting research for international companies located within South Carolina as needed
• Aiding with trade activities and events as needed

Requirements

• A high school diploma and relevant program experience
• A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required program experience

Qualifications

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, creative, and flexible, with a passion for economic development and marketing our state. The candidate must dress in business casual attire daily and be prepared to work in a professional, fast-paced environment.
