About the role
Associate, Banker-Industry/Country Coverage with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, New York. This position focuses on mergers and acquisitions, debt issuances, and initial public offerings (IPOs).
Responsibilities
- Create and analyze complex financial models and perform scenario analyses to examine the effects of proposed client alternatives in financial transactions.
- Use mathematical models and statistical techniques to analyze data and prepare reports, charts, and tables summarizing analyses and research results.
- Interact daily with senior and junior bankers to prepare financial exhibits, marketing documents, and information memorandums for clients.
- Engage with client executives, working with other bankers to guide clients in their financial decisions.
- Coordinate with teams across divisions to prepare client marketing or sales memoranda.
- Organize and prepare presentations explaining industry trends, discussing client options, and recommending strategies to meet client goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Two (2) years of experience in the job offered or a related role.
Qualifications
Prior employment must include two (2) years of experience with:
- Creating financial models including leveraged buyout models, NAV (Net Asset Value) models, three-statement operating models, discounted cash flow models, public trading comparables, and precedent transactions.
- Utilizing Capital IQ, Bloomberg, Dealogic, and Thomson Research Portal to fulfill client deliverables such as market updates and evaluation of potential M&A and capital market transactions.
- Advising on valuation and transaction analyses for private and public Consumer-sector companies.
- Developing financial model outputs and complex presentations using Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint related to business strategy and corporate finance.
- Analyzing regulatory filings, including 8Ks, 10Ks, and proxies, and Wall Street analyst research reports.
- Performing due diligence, research, analysis, and documentation of live transactions.
Pay
Annual base salary for this New York, New York-based position is $175,000 - $225,000.
