Global Applications Lead
Job Summary
The Global Applications Lead will drive the global applications strategy for the bioprocessing portfolio, ensuring standardized frameworks, consistent positioning, and alignment across field teams while identifying high-value use cases throughout the customer lifecycle. This role serves as a senior scientific leader, supporting strategic customers, complex evaluations, and key opinion leader engagement, while partnering cross-functionally with Product Management and commercial teams to translate workflows into differentiated value propositions and enable customer-ready messaging.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute the global applications strategy and roadmap across the Bio portfolio.
- Establish and standardize application frameworks, workflows, and positioning to ensure global consistency for the field application teams.
- Identify and prioritize high-value bioprocessing use cases across the customer lifecycle.
- Serve as the senior scientific expert for bioprocessing workflows and analytical applications.
- Support strategic customers, complex evaluations, and application-driven escalations.
- Engage with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and strategic accounts to inform applications strategy and evidence generation.
- Provide structured applications input into product strategy, roadmap planning, and investment decisions.
- Partner with Product Management to translate customer workflows into differentiated value propositions.
- Enable commercial teams with customer-ready application messaging and scientific differentiation.
- Lead development of global scientific and application content, including application notes, white papers, posters, webinars, and conference presentations.
- Identify high-value emerging use-cases throughout the bioprocessing value chain for our core technologies.
- Represent the company as a scientific thought leader at industry conferences and scientific forums.
- Own and operate the Waltham applications lab, ensuring it is organized, maintained, and fully functional.
- Perform hands-on experimental work as needed to support customer engagements, internal projects, and commercial initiatives with support from R&D.
- Manage lab inventory, supplies, and equipment to ensure readiness and continuity of operations.
- Cookordination and prioritization of lab activities for work generated internally and externally.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of experience in bioprocessing with hands-on bioprocessing experience, in mAb and if possible emerging target classes such as CGT, mRNA etc.
- Demonstrated leadership in scientific, applications, or technical roles.
- Prominent ability to present scientific data to technical and executive audiences.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and project leadership capabilities.
- PhD in Life Sciences or related discipline strongly preferred.
- MS with significant industry experience considered.
