About the role
As a globally leading manufacturer of innovative coating technology, WAGNER relies on data-driven decisions and AI. You will identify, evaluate, and implement analytics, automation, and AI use cases across operational end-to-end processes, prioritized by quantified business impact (cost savings, lead time, quality costs), and ensure benefit realization.
Responsibilities
- Analyze operational data from SAP and other enterprise systems to derive actionable recommendations for process, quality, and productivity optimization.
- Develop decision- and action-oriented analytics solutions (descriptive to prescriptive) and AI-supported reporting and decision-making tools within the SAP environment (e.g., SAP Analytics Cloud).
- Automate operational process steps (including agent-based workflows, human-in-the-loop approvals) and demonstrate their value contribution.
- Reduce manual reporting efforts through self-service solutions.
- Ensure high data quality and further develop data standards, master data, KPI systems, and reporting processes.
- Drive AI-supported quality analytics to reduce quality costs (CoPQ) in collaboration with Global Quality.
- Collaborate closely with Operations, IT, and business units to train them in SAP analytics and AI applications.
- Lead international digitalization and transformation projects with a focus on SAP.
Requirements
- Completed degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable qualification.
- Several years of experience in Data Analytics, Data Science, or AI implementation projects, ideally in an industrial environment.
- Experience in building KPI systems, dashboards, and reports.
- Strong knowledge of the SAP system landscape, ideally with S/4HANA and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC); experience with SAP Datasphere and Process Mining is a plus.
- Familiarity with modern analytics, AI, and automation technologies and their integration into SAP processes.
- Basic understanding of ML/LLM applications and agent-based automation; willingness to deepen expertise in ML/LLM applications and Python/low-code automation.
- Experience in international transformation or digitalization projects.
- Fluent in German and English, with strong communication skills across all organizational levels.
- Ability to navigate and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
