What You'll Do
- Serve as the global controllership function for BCG — owning, authoring, and enforcing accounting policies and procedures across all regions and offices worldwide.
- Consolidating and reporting BCG's financial information on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis across management and US GAAP financial statements.
- Establishing and maintaining authoritative accounting policies, ensuring consistent application and compliance by finance teams globally.
- Supporting finance teams on technical accounting matters to produce high-quality financial data for organizational decision-makers.
- Financial Reporting & Close:
- Support the global month-end close process, working with affiliate offices to ensure timely and accurate ledger submissions for monthly management and US GAAP reporting.
- Leverage AI tools to consolidate and transform financial results into standardized, leadership-ready reporting formats for distribution across the organization.
- Perform quarterly US GAAP financial reporting and analyses, compliance checks, and reconciliations for BCG’s consolidation US GAAP reporting requirements.
- Review affiliate reporting packages and entity financial statements for policy compliance, escalating items requiring Global Director approval.
- Lead the preparation of the global year-end close process memo and supporting appendices, providing global offices with clear guidance on deadlines, procedures, and key accounting policy requirements to ensure consistent and accurate year-end submissions.
- Manage the annual consolidated financial statement audit process, providing end-to-end oversight, documentation, and support to external auditors.
- AI, Reporting & Process Improvement:
- Leverage AI and automation tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Power BI, Power Automate) to streamline and automate recurring reconciliations, period-end close workflows, and reporting tasks, reducing cycle time and error risks.
- Create and implement AI-driven solutions to review SAP-based results submitted by local offices, automatically identifying inconsistencies, outliers, and exceptions for follow-up.
- Use AI-driven analysis to proactively flag variances in consolidated financial data; identify and lead broader process improvement initiatives across the close and reporting cycles.
- Champion AI adoption and automation efforts within the team; develop training and governance frameworks for responsible AI use in financial reporting.
- Leadership & Collaboration:
- Manage, coach, and develop junior team members through day-to-day responsibilities and critical close periods.
- Partner with local office finance teams, Treasury, Tax, Global Field Operations, Risk, Finance Systems, external auditors, and finance transformation project teams on accounting matters and transformation projects.
What You'll Bring
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA/CA designation required; Master's degree or MBA a plus.
- 6-8 years of progressive accounting experience, including extensive US GAAP reporting; prior experience at a large public accounting firm required.
- Experience at a large multinational company in a multi-currency environment preferred.
- Demonstrated experience managing and developing direct reports.
- Technical & Digital Skills:
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and IFRS-based statutory accounting frameworks.
- Experience with SAP accounting systems (S/4HANA Public Cloud and SAP Group Reporting); proficiency in Microsoft 365 and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
- Familiarity with AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT) for financial reporting and analysis; ability to evaluate and scale AI-driven process improvements.
- Experience with data analysis and reporting tools (Tableau, Alteryx, Power Query, Python, Power BI, Power Automate) a plus.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable engaging with senior leadership, peer groups, and third-party service providers.
