Global Account Director

About the role
The Global Account Director will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of key global accounts in the transportation and logistics industry. They will be accountable for driving revenue growth, developing and executing account strategies, ensuring customer satisfaction, and leading a team of account managers. The Global Account Director will report to the Vice President of Sales.
Responsibilities
- Lead global alignment of the account management structure for a specific account portfolio, across multiple regions, communicate and coordinate the global strategy for each account
- Develop and execute account strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at assigned global accounts
- Identify opportunities to expand services and increase revenue within assigned accounts
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure operational excellence and timely resolution of customer issues
- Prepare and present business reviews and performance reports to clients and DSV management
- Conduct regular account planning and review meetings with the team
- Ensure customer satisfaction through effective communication, responsiveness, and issue resolution
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, or a related field is required
- Master's degree in business or a related field is preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales or account management in the transportation and logistics industry
- Experience managing global accounts and developing account strategies is required
- Experience working in a multinational corporation is required

Pay
For this position, the expected base pay is $120,000 - $150,000 per year. Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, geographic location and other objective business considerations.
