Glendale System Software Engineering Internship, Spring 2027

This internship is a full-time, six-month commitment in the Glendale, CA area, running from January 2027 to June 2027. Interns must be fully available for the entire duration.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of guest throughput attraction models
  • Help build Hardware-In-The-Loop test beds for attractions
  • Develop in-house tools built off the C++ and C# framework

Requirements

  • Experience with Object Oriented Programming, preferably C++ or C#
  • Ability to troubleshoot and assess software errors and implement solutions
  • Familiar with continuous integration tools like Gitlab
  • Experience with controls hardware
  • Currently enrolled as a Junior, Senior, or Graduate student at an accredited college/university, earning a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related major
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher (no rounding)
  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class at time of application or currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Disney College Program
  • Be compliant with The Disney Look appearance guidelines
  • Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
  • Fully available Monday through Friday, PST for the duration of the internship (40 hours each week)
  • Able to provide own housing in the Glendale, CA area for the duration of the internship
  • Able to provide or have reliable transportation to/from work

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to take ownership and drive projects to completion with minimal supervision
  • Professional demeanor, focused, articulate, and well-organized

Pay

The pay rate for this role as an undergraduate in CA is $31.00/hour. The pay rate for this role as a graduate student in CA is $36.00/hour.
