Glass Wash Technician, Lab Services

About the role

The glass wash technician supports both biology and chemistry labs in the collection and processing of routine lab glassware. This role involves collaborating with BMS and JLL colleagues and lab management to maintain a safe and clean environment.

Responsibilities

• Transport laboratory glassware to and from designated wash and pick-up areas within laboratories and between buildings
• Perform customized cleaning and processing of various laboratory equipment glassware
• Autoclave media, water, and labware as requested
• Update work-related documentation as needed
• Comply with all regulations and good documentation practices
• Maintain strict attention to safety and quality
• Collaborate with other employees to achieve departmental and company goals
• Ensure accurate and timely execution of activities and results
• Assist in other lab services operations as directed or needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Proficiency in the use of computer programs/systems
• Demonstrated experience in a safe, team-based, high-performance, quality-driven environment
• Adequate skills to perform required job functions with minimal supervision
• Physical ability to perform field work requiring frequent walking, bending, stooping, reaching, lifting, and carrying materials

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a clinical, research, or lab setting
• At least 1 year of relevant work experience is preferred
• Relevant training and certifications

Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
