Glass Specialist
Duties and Responsibilities
- Safety and quality conscious
- Good attendance – willing and able to work overtime (short time could also occur)
- Willing to operate a saw or be trained on a saw
- Simple arithmetic skills/able to read a ruler
- Able to read and understand a schedule/enter data into computer for cutter
- Strong attention to detail
- Work well with others as part of a team
- Read a tape measure
- Knowledge on machines and able to setup programming
- Handle, material and oversee quality checks
- Good organization and communication skills
- Positive attitude
- Reading and understanding blueprints and work orders to be processed
- fast-paced work/able to do multiple tasks
- Good problem-solving skills
- Willing and able to cross-train and fill in for leads in other areas as necessary
- Adhere to Site Wide Safety Protocols and Requirements (Personal Protective equipment is mandatory)
- Translate instructions into computer commands so the machine can perform function
Qualifications
- Good problem-solving skills
- Preferably already knowledgeable about glass
- Leadership qualities
