Auto Glass Repair Specialist

Responsibilities

• Learn to repair vehicle glass using industry-leading technology under the guidance of experienced technicians and leaders.
• Complete vehicle glass repairs, including chips, cracks, and other auto glass-related issues.
• Manage work orders, customer documentation, and communication through the Safelite handheld Mobile Resource Management (MRM) technology.
• Promote and sell Safelite promotional items to customers.
• Clean customer vehicles during wait/idle time and perform additional housekeeping tasks in company vehicles and shop.
• Safely operate company and customer vehicles, company-issued tools, and chemicals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Comply with all policies and standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and any other required licenses.
• Completion of On-the-job training and Safelite SafeTech™ certification.

Skills and Abilities

• Lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. for short periods.
• Standing for extended periods, working in tight spaces, bending, twisting, and operating various hand and power tools.
• Operating a motor vehicle in compliance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Maintaining professionalism and passion for providing outstanding customer service.
• Working with chemicals as applicable per the “Safelite Way of Fitting”.
• Working scheduled days with flexibility on start and end times to accommodate customer needs.
• Solving problems and troubleshooting issues independently and collaboratively.
• Communicating orally and written, maintaining a professional appearance, and adhering to Company uniform and PPE policies.
• Willingness and ability to maintain stable performance under professional or personal pressure and opposition.
