Glass Specialist

Cornerstone Building Brands is a leading manufacturer of exterior building products for residential and low-rise non-residential buildings in North America. Headquartered in Cary, N.C., we serve residential and commercial customers across the new construction and Repair & Remodel (R&R) markets. Our market-leading portfolio includes vinyl windows, vinyl siding, stone veneer, metal roofing, metal wall systems, and metal accessories.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a strong focus on safety and quality
• Demonstrate good attendance and willingness to work overtime (short time may also occur)
• Operate or be trained to operate a saw
• Perform simple arithmetic and read a ruler
• Read and understand schedules; enter data into a computer for cutting
• Exhibit strong attention to detail and work well as part of a team
• Read a tape measure and understand blueprints/work orders
• Knowledge of machines and ability to set up programming
• Handle material and oversee quality checks
• Demonstrate good organization, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment while multitasking
• Willingness to cross-train and fill in for leads in other areas as necessary
• Adhere to site-wide safety protocols and requirements (PPE is mandatory)
• Read fractions and decimals and translate instructions into computer commands

Requirements

• Good problem-solving skills
• Preferably knowledgeable about glass
• Leadership qualities
• Must be at least 18 years of age to apply

Schedule

6am to 6pm, Monday through Friday (weekends depending on production volume)
