Glass Installer

About the role

RL James is seeking a skilled Glass Installer for its Sarasota/Bradenton, FL location. This full-time position reports to a Division Leader/Field Supervisor and involves completing various glass installation tasks at commercial job sites.

Responsibilities

• Review daily assignments and associated paperwork before heading to the job site.
• Pull glass and materials from the shop, verify sizes, and inspect defects prior to installation.
• Select appropriate tools, safety equipment, and parts based on job requirements.
• Travel to customer locations and assess the scope of work upon arrival.
• Install glass in a safe, timely, and professional manner without damaging customer property.
• Maintain a clean and organized job site and secure all tools and materials on the truck at the end of each day.
• Report any damage, incidents, or concerns to the supervisor promptly.
• Stay current on installation processes, techniques, and product knowledge.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in glass installation, glazing, or a closely related field.
• Ability to read work orders, verify measurements, and ensure accuracy before and during installation.
• Experience working at heights and on elevated access systems; experience with swing stage or aerial lift equipment is a plus.
• Professional, customer-facing demeanor; interacts directly with commercial clients.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship on every job.
• Able to work safely, independently, and efficiently in the field.
• Valid driver's license required; must be able to operate a company vehicle.

• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.
