Duties and/or Responsibilities
- Collect, examine and evaluate data – determine quality in relation to specifications with finished and in-process inspections.
- Conduct surveys of stockpiles for inventory using Trimble and drone technology.
- Measure stockpile volumes using GIS technology and create detailed inventory calculations.
- Safely and properly perform laboratory tests on variety of materials (Aggregate, concrete and/or Asphalt).
- Meet with field personnel and customers to investigate quality issues and troubleshoot resolutions.
- Obtain/maintain all required DOT and FAA certifications.
- Travel as needed to project and work site locations.
- Ensure DOT, MSHA, OSHA, EPA, DNR, safety and environmental regulation compliance.
- Always work safely and take action to prevent any and all unsafe actions, processes, and behaviors.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Able to work independently.
Minimum Requirements
- General education, problem solving skills, grammar, and arithmetic consistent with a GED or high school diploma; or equivalent transferable skills.
- Ability to learn survey methods and procedures to obtain proper certifications.
- Ability to learn new software and programs.
- Ability to hold and maintain proper licensure and acceptable driving record.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including overtime, possible nights and some Saturdays.
