GIS Technician

About the role

We'll count on you to conduct spatial analyses and prepare maps using ArcGIS. Perform data input and editing of spatial and tabular data using ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online. Support field data collection using mobile GIS/GPS equipment. Follow documented technical procedures. Perform other duties as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Geography, Planning, Engineering, Natural Science or closely related field, or a combination of education and relevant experience
• Preferred qualifications: Strong background in Python, specifically ArcPy and ArcGIS API; Experience with other spatial or data visualization software
• Required qualifications: Associates degree in Geography, Planning, Engineering, Natural Science or closely related field, or a combination of education and relevant experience; Practical experience with editing, database development, and map production in ArcGIS; Experienced with Microsoft 365 Apps; Requires attention to detail, reliability, and ability to work with a team; Good written and oral communication skills a plus

Qualifications

• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Skills

• Python, specifically ArcPy and ArcGIS API
• Other spatial or data visualization software
• Editing, database development, and map production in ArcGIS
• Microsoft 365 Apps
