GIS Specialist - Senior Engineer - Sacramento CA

About the role

Performs systems analysis, concept and design, and program development, implementation, and documentation in the data processing specialty area of GIS. Prepares and implements user/project setup for any given GIS-related project. Designs databases, automation and processing macros, and related analytical procedures. Maintains the application software and the GIS databases. Performs digitizing tasks as needed.

Requirements

• BA/BS in Geography, Natural Resources Management, Earth Sciences, Engineering, or Computer Sciences (comparable work experience is acceptable)
• 3 to 5 years of GIS production work using ESRI software
• 3 or more years of Python, Arcade, and/or ModelBuilder

Qualifications

Successful completion of any combination of the following ESRI training courses within the last two (2) years may be substituted for some of the experience and/or time requirements:

• Current ArcGIS Pro
• Building Geodatabases or like coursework
• Cartographic Production
• ESRI 3D Creation/Analysis or Visualization coursework
• Enterprise Geodata Management or like coursework
• Modernizing field workflows using Fields for ArcGIS
