GIS Specialist - Production

About the role

Coordinate with hardware and software vendors to ensure a problem-free operating environment. Implement quality control procedures. Oversee procedures performed by associate specialists and data technicians. Monitor and ensure proper data backup procedures. Approve and release final product databases, maps, and reports when delegated. Assist management in preparing and implementing user and project setup, accounting, and security. Perform mapping and database management functions on multiple projects. Manage various data collection technologies. Work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary GIS team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in natural sciences, engineering, or computer sciences.
• Three (3) to five (5) years of GIS production experience using ESRI software.
• Three (3) or more years of experience using Python and/or ModelBuilder.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of the ESRI GIS software suite, including ArcGIS Pro and Spatial Analyst.
• Demonstrated geography, mapping, and cartography skills.
• Experience with ArcGIS Server and ArcSDE configuration is desired.
• ArcGIS Online administration experience.
• Successful completion (within the past two years) of ESRI training courses may substitute for portions of experience and/or time requirements.

Qualifications

• Current ArcGIS Desktop or Pro;
• Building Geodatabases or like coursework;
• Cartographic Production;
• ESRI 3D Creation/Analysis or Visualization coursework;
• Enterprise Geodata Management or like coursework;
• Modernizing your Field Workflows Using Fields for ArcGIS.

Skills

• Python and/or ModelBuilder.
• ESRI GIS software suite, including ArcGIS Pro and Spatial Analyst.
• Geography, mapping, and cartography skills.
• ArcGIS Server and ArcSDE configuration.
• ArcGIS Online administration.
