Responsibilities
- Produce spatial and non-spatial data while ensuring technical accuracy and logical consistency in data processing and outputs.
- Produce high-quality geospatial products by employing cartographic principles, industry standards, and custom solutions.
- Identify and solve technical problems under supervision.
- Conduct field data collection using GPS and mobile technologies.
- Daily activities include:
- Utility and municipal data entry and corrections
- Conducting GIS analysis
- Generating GIS deliverables
- Supporting customer GIS needs
- Supporting asset management activities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Geography, Planning, Environmental Science, Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
- Demonstrable competence with: ArcGIS Online, Field Maps, Survey 123, ArcGIS Pro, Microsoft Suite, GPS technologies.
- Experience or education related to: ArcGIS Enterprise, AutoCAD, Microstation and basic programming/scripting using Python, Javascript and HTML 5 are beneficial.
- Must be very well organized, detail oriented, and possess strong problem-solving abilities.
- Be able to work independently with minimal supervision and apply previous instructions to current tasks.
- Possess excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Be outgoing, forward-thinking, an effective communicator, and energetic.
- Have a passion for GIS technology and keep abreast of current GIS trends and apply them to existing projects.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience working with underground utilities, hydraulic modeling and asset management.
