About the role
Join a dynamic team at Esri where innovation meets impact. We are seeking a talented individual to join our GIS development team. This role involves working on cutting-edge projects that utilize GIS technology to solve complex problems and drive meaningful change.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain GIS applications using Python, JavaScript, and related technologies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and test GIS solutions
- Contribute to the enhancement and maintenance of existing GIS systems
- Support project management activities, including requirements gathering, design, and documentation
- Participate in code reviews and provide technical guidance to junior developers
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Geography, Engineering, or a related field
- 2+ years of professional experience in GIS development or a related field
- Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, and related GIS technologies
- Experience with GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Qualifications
- Experience with data analysis and visualization tools
- Knowledge of database management systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, SQL)
- Understanding of geospatial concepts and principles
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment
