GIS Production Analyst (Contractor)
About the role
The GIS Production Analyst will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and consistency of HD maps used in Ford’s automated driving technology. This position is part of the Data Services Operations team within Latitude AI, a Ford Motor Company subsidiary focused on developing advanced driving solutions.
Responsibilities
- Execute quality control functions in Latitude’s HD map data pipeline to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Provide automation feedback to improve efficiency of Map Operations
- Maintain and ensure the quality of GIS data and related processes
- Analyze spatial data through the use of mapping software
Requirements
- Proficiency in GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Experience in quality control and data management is preferred
- Ability to work 100% at desk in a 2D and 3D virtual environment
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Environmental Science, or related field
- Previous experience working in an AI/self-driving setting or similar
- Experience sourcing and federating third party data for spatial analysis
Skills
- Proficiency in GIS software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
