About the role

The City of Cape Coral seeks a GIS Analyst to join our team. This position requires no fingerprinting and applicants are encouraged to complete all relevant fields in the online application.

Responsibilities

• Performs planning, developing and production of graphic, digital and printed materials
• Designs, creates and maintains datasets for inclusion into the City's enterprise geodatabase
• Writes metadata to document data input and maintenance
• Provides GIS project coordination, including project scope, data design and collection processes, data presentation methods and techniques including interactive websites
• Benefits and public departments
• Manages the asset management system (Cartegraph) for the Public Works Department
• Oversees user roles and permissions, hardware and software upgrades, installations and user support for the Public Works Cartegraph Asset Management System
• Provides assistance in developing procedures and format design for data collection from field staff
• Performs other related duties as required

Qualifications

• Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Planning, Public Administration or related field; or Associate degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Planning, Public Administration or related field and four (4) additional years of related experience.
• Five (5) years of experience in GIS data manipulation and analysis.
• Three (3) years of experience using Cartegraph or similar asset management system.
• Licenses or Certifications: ESRI ArcGIS Certification or ESRI training certificates covering data editing, essential workflows, and GIS mapping.
