The Cultural Resources Cultural Resources business unit is seeking a client focused problem-solver to join our collaborative and innovative GIS team. This position may require occasional (<10%) travel, as needed for project mapping or meetings. Hybrid work schedules may be available. Responsibilities Include Utilizing ESRI GIS software to manage, analyze, and visualize dataPublishing, configuring, and maintaining web maps, hosted feature layers, dashboards, and GIS applications in ArcGIS Online or ArcGIS EnterpriseConducting spatial analysis and applying geoprocessing techniques to support cultural resources projectsCreating high-quality maps and interactive web applications for presentations and reportsCollaborating with team members to design and maintain geospatial databases, ensuring data integrity and efficient data retrievalAssisting in the development and implementation of geospatial workflows and standardsStaying up to date on the latest GIS technologies, tools, and methodologies Effectively communicating GIS findings and analysis to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through written reports and presentationsProviding GIS technical assistance and basic training to project teams and end users The Successful Candidate Will Have Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in geography, anthropology, archeology, historic preservation, history, or closely related fieldAt least two (2) years of relevant experience --OR-- If no degree, at least six (6) years of relevant experience The Ideal Candidate Will Have Any/all Of The Following Experience in the cultural resource management industryFamiliarity with StoryMaps and similar deliverablesExperience with predictive modeling, particularly related to archaeologyWorking experience with total stations or similar field data collectorsExperience preparing data for use on handheld GNSS/GPS units, as well as utilizing those units for paperless field data collectionExperience or familiarity with generative AI-driven tools, platforms, or systems (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) to enhance productivity, automate tasks, and reduce errors If you have strong communication and organizational skills, are self-motivated, take initiative, and can work well both independently and as part of a team, complete the online application process for this job posting at www.meadhunt.com/careers. Salary Range: $72,000 - $93,000 - Actual compensation may vary due to other factors such as: experience, skill set or location.
