About the role
The successful candidate will lead the girls wrestling program at Wiggins High School. The coach will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive training regimen, managing team logistics, and fostering a positive and competitive environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a training regimen that meets state and national standards
- Manage team logistics including scheduling practices, games, and travel
- Foster a positive and competitive team culture
- Work closely with other coaches and school staff to ensure student success
- Attend all home and away matches
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in physical education or related field
- Experience coaching high school athletics, preferably wrestling
- Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate athletes
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
Qualifications
- Pass a background check
- Valid driver’s license
- First aid and CPR certification
Skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
