Girls Soccer Assistant Coach

About the role

This position is open to certified teachers who are licensed as an Athletic Coach by the New Mexico Public Education Department.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement athletic programs that promote physical fitness and sportsmanship.
• Coach teams in accordance with the rules and regulations set forth by the NM PED and the National Federation of State High School Associations.
• Maintain accurate records of student participation, scores, and other pertinent information.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding their children's progress and needs.
• Participate in professional development activities to enhance coaching skills and knowledge.

Requirements

• Current teaching license from the NM PED.
• Current coaching certification from the NM PED.
• Experience coaching high school athletics.
• Ability to work effectively with students, staff, and community members.
• Pass an FBI background check.

Qualifications

• Master's degree preferred.
• Experience working with diverse student populations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Skills

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $70,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.

Schedule

The schedule for this position is typically Monday through Friday, with some evening and weekend commitments for coaching and team events.
