About the role
This position is open to certified teachers who are licensed as an Athletic Coach by the New Mexico Public Education Department.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement athletic programs that promote physical fitness and sportsmanship.
- Coach teams in accordance with the rules and regulations set forth by the NM PED and the National Federation of State High School Associations.
- Maintain accurate records of student participation, scores, and other pertinent information.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding their children's progress and needs.
- Participate in professional development activities to enhance coaching skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- Current teaching license from the NM PED.
- Current coaching certification from the NM PED.
- Experience coaching high school athletics.
- Ability to work effectively with students, staff, and community members.
- Pass an FBI background check.
Qualifications
- Master's degree preferred.
- Experience working with diverse student populations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $70,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.
Schedule
