Requirements

• Head Coaches must hold a current certificate in AED/CPR upon hire.
• Assistant Coaches must hold a current certificate in First Aid/CPR or be willing to obtain one.
• All coaches must be a CDE‑licensed teacher or hold a valid coach registration with CHSAA upon hire.
• All Colorado coaches must hold a current concussion certification from the NFHS or Children’s Hospital Colorado upon hire.
• All coaches must pass the CHSAA annual Coaches Exam.
• Previous coaching experience and/or participation at the high school or college level is preferred.
• Ability to supervise students and enforce district, school, league, and CHSAA rules and regulations.
• Knowledge and skills in the specific sport, including the ability to plan, organize, direct, and teach advanced techniques.
• Commitment to safety: follow safety rules, use appropriate equipment, and report unsafe conditions.
• Effective communication and collaboration with diverse individuals.

Pay

Salary is based on the Athletic/Activities Coaches Salary Schedule (Appendix B – Certified Master Agreement). The base salary range will be adjusted according to the sport and years of experience, per Certified Master Agreement language.

Schedule

Standard hours per week: 2.5 hours (FTE 0.0625).
