About the role
The role of the volunteer is pivotal to providing a well-rounded approach to end of life care. As a patient visitor you would provide companionship and quiet presence to hospice patients hospitalized in the General Inpatient unit (GIP) for pain and symptom management.
Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and quiet presence to hospice patients hospitalized in the General Inpatient unit (GIP)
- Pain and symptom management support
Requirements
- Driver’s License
- Background Check
- Attend Orientation
Qualifications
- Must have MMR/Varicella Vaccines
- Must have Annual PPD test and Flu Shot
