Broadway Design & Renovation is seeking a talented Interior Designer to join our team in Gig Harbor, WA.

About the role

We specialize in high-end residential remodeling and interior design, transforming homes through thoughtful, budget-conscious solutions. This position involves working on full-home renovations, kitchen and bath remodels, custom furniture sourcing, and space planning for clients in the Puget Sound region.

Responsibilities

  • Develop design concepts and present them to clients, including material selections, color schemes, and furniture layouts
  • Create detailed drawings, 3D renderings, and construction documents for remodeling projects
  • Source and specify furniture, fixtures, finishes, and accessories from trade-only vendors
  • Collaborate with contractors, architects, and craftsmen to ensure design intent is executed accurately
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, from initial consultation through installation and styling
  • Conduct site visits to assess spaces, take measurements, and monitor project progress
  • Stay current on design trends, materials, and products in the residential remodeling industry
  • Furnish entire homes through our network of trade-only vendors, selecting pieces that enhance the design vision

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional experience in residential interior design, with a portfolio demonstrating expertise in remodeling and space planning
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and ADA compliance as they relate to residential design
  • Experience sourcing furniture, fabrics, and finishes from trade-only vendors
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts to clients and contractors
  • Detail-oriented with strong project management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small, collaborative team
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for site visits and vendor meetings
