Responsibilities
- Plan and implement a gifted education program that adheres to the company's philosophy and objectives as outlined in the adopted courses of study.
- Create purposeful lesson plans that utilize effective teaching strategies, aligning with NAGC's best practices.
- Audit student needs and abilities through regular evaluations, maintaining accurate and complete records to inform instructional practices.
- Implement self-contained gifted practices and inclusion strategies that promote engagement and achievement for all learners.
- Coordinate class field trips and prepare students for state-required achievement assessments.
- Stay current in subject matter knowledge and learning theory, as well as in best practices for gifted education.
- Assist in the ongoing revision of the curriculum, including the selection of instructional materials that reflect NAGC standards for gifted education and align with the CSUSA Educational Model.
- Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and aligns with the maturity and interests of your gifted students.
- Maintain a positive rapport with students while demonstrating patience and nurturing.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with teachers, students, parents, the community, and administrative.
- Communicate clearly and positively with parents and guardians.
- Collaborate with administration, other staff members, and CSUSA to maintain confidentiality regarding student records and participate in parent communication activities.
- Involvement in extracurricular activities to support a positive school culture and provide additional support for students and staff as required.

- Proficient experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Student Information System (SIS) and email.
- Continuous seeking ways to improve quality and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness, striving to implement best practices in gifted education as outlined by the NAGC and within the framework of the CSUSA Educational Model.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Schedule
This position is full-time, Monday through Friday, with a typical school schedule.
