Gift Processor (Advancement Professional I - Non-Exempt, Range 1) - Advancement Services
Position Summary
The Gift Processor processes donations to the University, including cash, check, and credit card transactions. They post gifts to the Blackbaud RE NXT donor database, process gift receipts and acknowledgement letters, respond to donor inquiries, and facilitate Central Files scanning procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
- Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in a related field
- 2-3 years’ experience technical/administrative work involving collecting, recording and analyzing data
- Computer skills including database knowledge/experience imperative. MS Office skills should include advanced skills in MS Word (including mail merge functions) and intermediate Excel skills
- Experience working with fundraising databases and familiarity with fundraising principles
- Superior analytical skills, ability to troubleshoot and problem solve
- Excellent written and oral English language communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated and able to juggle multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Accounting and/or bookkeeping experience preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in accounting, business administration, finance, or related field
- Superior analytical skills, and the ability to troubleshoot and problem solve
- Excellent written and oral English language communication skills and interpersonal skills, be able to follow written instructions, and exercise independent judgment in problem-solving
- Knowledge of charitable giving policies and procedures helpful, as is experience in an educational or non-profit institution
