GI Technician
Summary
You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of RNs, GI techs, and CNAs, working seamlessly with anesthesia and GI services to deliver exceptional care. You'll play a vital role in ensuring top-tier care for both inpatient and outpatient populations.
Assisting with advanced GI procedures such as EGD, colonoscopies, ERCP, EUS, manometry, Fibro Scan, PillCam, Bravo, and HALO. Additionally, you'll provide pre-operative and post-operative recovery care, with a strong emphasis on patient safety and comfort.
Rotating through all areas of GI will offer you a diverse and stimulating work environment. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of RNs, GI techs, and CNAs to deliver exceptional care.
- Assist with advanced GI procedures such as EGD, colonoscopies, ERCP, EUS, manometry, Fibro Scan, PillCam, Bravo, and HALO.
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative recovery care, emphasizing patient safety and comfort.
- Rotate through all areas of GI to gain a diverse and stimulating work environment.
- Expand your skills and knowledge through advanced certifications and in-house education provided by an in-house educator.
Requirements
- Required: GI Tech, 1-2 years, or position related experience.
- Preferred: Knowledge of infection prevention guidelines, endoscopic instrumentation, and high-level disinfection reprocessing.
- Basic computer skills.
Qualifications
- Required: High School or Equivalent.
Skills
- BLS (Basic Life Support) from AHA.
- CNA (Certified Nurse Assistant), preferred.
