German Teacher

About the role

EF Academy, an international boarding school located in Westchester County, New York, is seeking an experienced German teacher for the 2026–2027 academic year. The position reports to the Deputy Head of School for Academics and may be structured as full-time or part-time, with salary adjusted accordingly.

Salary range: $60,000–$85,000, based on relevant years of experience and highest degree earned.

Responsibilities

• Teach five sections, differentiating instruction to support students whose first language is not English.
• Supervise two clubs and one advisory group, each meeting twice weekly during the school day.
• Perform residential duties during the academic year, including weeknight study hall and weekend supervision for on-campus faculty.
• Attend school events.

Requirements

• Passion for teaching and engaging with students beyond the classroom.
• Experience with or knowledge of the International Baccalaureate and/or Advanced Placement programs.
• Experience living and working at a boarding school.
• Certification to teach and/or experience teaching Business courses at the high school level.
• Master’s degree.
• Legal right to work in the United States.
