About the Role
Our Geriatric Nursing Assistants are essential members of the healthcare team, providing direct care and support to residents. They assist with daily activities, ensure resident safety and well-being, and help motivate residents to stay active and engaged.
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, oral care, and mobility
- Take vital signs and observe behavioral or physical changes
- Document care provided to residents
- Provide companionship and maintain a clean environment
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team
Requirements
- Current GNA certification and license in Maryland
- Positive, professional attitude and effective communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively, remain calm, and show empathy
- Experience in a skilled nursing facility is a plus
- Ability to problem solve, adapt to change, and work under pressure
