About the role

You'll enjoy a hands-on role carrying out geotechnician duties in accordance with relevant Australian Standards. Applying the principles of soil mechanics, rock mechanics, and engineering geology, you'll help deliver reliable data that supports our engineers and clients to make informed decisions.

• Carry out field and laboratory tests in accordance with the appropriate test methods and Australian Standards
• Calculate and prepare results for review
• Undertake on-the-job training in test methods and procedures as directed by senior staff
• Clean and maintain equipment and keep the work area tidy and safe
• Liaise with internal staff and clients on testing methods and results
• Report all non-conforming work in accordance with company policies and procedures
• Apply company occupational health, safety, and environmental procedures on every project
• Maintain consistently high standards of quality and accuracy, and contribute to continuous improvement

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in a geotechnical environment
• A current Class C Driver's Licence
• A current Construction White Card (or willingness to obtain prior to starting)
• Strong attention to detail with a methodical, accurate approach to work
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team as well as independently
• Enthusiasm, self-motivation, and a genuine commitment to safety, quality, and company standards
