Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions, is seeking a Geotechnical Project Manager to join our Professional Services Industries, Inc. (Intertek-PSI) team in the Pittsburgh, PA area.
About the role
The Geotechnical Project Manager is responsible for performing a variety of testing, project-specific observations, and site assessment duties under general supervision and/or from detailed controlled procedures.
Responsibilities
- Direct and execute geotechnical project assignments including field exploration, laboratory services, engineering analysis, report preparation, and report technical review.
- Provide quality control review of proposals and reports and direct operations to consistently meet client commitments.
- Actively participate in business development and marketing efforts while establishing and maintaining client relationships.
- Mentor and train senior and junior professional staff.
- Participate in relationship building with professional and technical organizations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering.
- 3+ years of progressive Geotechnical Engineering experience with active project management experience.
- Excellent communication, project management, and organizational skills.
- Strong understanding of Geotechnical Engineering and related disciplines with the ability to provide creative and practical solutions.
- Travel expected: less than 5% of the time.
- Valid Driver's License and reliable driving record.
Qualifications
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification preferred.
