Overview

LVI is partnered with a well-established engineering consultancy that is expanding its geotechnical team due to continued project growth. This is an opportunity for an experienced professional to step into a project leadership role, managing a diverse range of site development and infrastructure-related work while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. The position offers a strong balance of technical delivery, client interaction, and team leadership.

The Role

You will take ownership of geotechnical projects from early-stage investigation through design and construction support. The role combines hands-on technical involvement with project and client management responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead geotechnical assessments, investigations, and engineering analysis
  • Oversee project delivery, ensuring work is completed on time, within scope, and within budget
  • Provide technical input and develop clear recommendations for design and construction
  • Coordinate field activities and review data collected from site investigations
  • Prepare and review technical documentation and project deliverables
  • Act as a primary point of contact for clients and project stakeholders
  • Support and mentor junior engineers and technical staff
  • Collaborate with internal teams across multiple disciplines

Requirements

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related discipline
  • 7+ years of geotechnical experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license, or working towards licensure
  • Solid experience delivering geotechnical projects within a consulting or engineering environment
  • Strong understanding of ground conditions, site investigation methods, and foundation-related design
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and communicate effectively with clients
  • A proactive approach with strong problem-solving and leadership skills
