Geotechnical - Project Manager

About the role

Civil & Environmental Consultants Inc. (CEC) is growing and we have an excellent opportunity to hire a Geotechnical Project Manager in our Philadelphia, PA office.

Responsibilities

• Geotechnical subsurface investigations, including coordination or monitoring subsurface drilling, obtaining soil and rock samples, preparing boring logs, developing laboratory testing programs, interpreting laboratory data, performing geotechnical analyses and design, and report preparation.
• Construction materials testing project duties, including management, coordination, supervision, review, and direction of technician staff for testing related to earthwork, concrete, foundations, masonry, and pavement construction.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, specializing in Geotechnical Engineering (Master's degree Geotechnical Engineering preferred)
• 5+ years of Consulting Geotechnical Engineering experience
• Professional Engineering License (PE) registration with applicable experience
• Strong technical writing and communication skills

Qualifications

• Expertise in geotechnical subsurface investigations and construction materials testing
• Experience in managing and supervising teams of technicians
• Ability to interpret and apply geotechnical data to project design and analysis
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
