Geotechnical Project Engineer

Key Responsibilities
- Manage geotechnical, forensic, and construction projects
- Interact directly with clients and manage project budgets
- Cook up and participate in field activities, including:
- Logging borings, test pits, trenches, and cores
- Evaluating geologic and seismic hazards
- Performing forensic evaluations of distressed structures and failed slopes
- Perform engineering analyses, including:
- Foundation design and evaluation
- Slope stability analysis
- Settlement analysis
- Prepare geotechnical engineering proposals and technical reports
- Provide technical support and mentorship to staff engineers, geologists, and field technicians
- Other duties as assigned by the manager
Qualifications
- Education: B.S. in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering required
- M.S. in Geotechnical Engineering preferred
- Skills & Experience: Licensed Professional Engineer (PE), Minimum 5+ years of experience in geotechnical consulting, Familiarity with local engineering practices and California-based projects required, Detail-oriented, team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Additional Information
Expected salary range: $100,000-120,000 depending on qualifications
