Roles & Responsibilities

  • Key member of geotechnical team for long-term strategic thinking
  • Collaborate with passionate team on diverse projects
  • Understand and develop strong client relationships
  • Manage financial and technical aspects of projects
  • Execute projects meeting technical, quality, budgetary, and scheduling requirements
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Assign and manage work effectively
  • Coach and mentor junior staff
  • Show strong skills in quality control, planning, cost estimating, and scheduling
  • Direct geotechnical field observations and tests
  • Develop recommendations for various foundation systems
  • Have advanced knowledge of California seismic landscape and hazard mitigation measures
  • Have experience with mid-to-high rise buildings, deep excavations, shoring, underpinning, mass grading, dewatering, and ground improvement techniques
  • Support marketing additional services to existing clients

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Geology with specific geotechnical engineering coursework; Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or Geology preferred
  • Licensed as a Professional Engineer, Geotechnical Engineer preferred; California license required within 6 months
  • 7-15+ years of relevant site investigation, geotechnical analysis, and engineering construction support experience
  • Proven client relationships and repeat business
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in writing, reviewing, and editing technical reports
