Geotechnical Project Engineer
Join EVS and help deliver innovative geotechnical solutions that support some of the nation's most impactful renewable energy and infrastructure projects. As a Geotechnical Project Engineer, you'll manage projects from investigation through construction, collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, and provide technical expertise on utility-scale solar, BESS, substations, and other complex civil infrastructure projects. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys balancing technical analysis, client interaction, and project management while contributing to a collaborative, growth-focused team.
About the Role
Manage multiple geotechnical engineering projects from proposal through completion, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and work plans while coordinating field investigations, drilling subcontractors, laboratory testing, and internal project teams.
Plan and oversee subsurface investigations, reviewing boring logs, laboratory testing results, geophysical data, and site conditions to develop engineering recommendations.
Perform geotechnical engineering analyses including shallow and deep foundation design, driven pile axial and lateral capacity, settlement analyses, liquefaction evaluations, seismic site classification, groundwater assessments, and earthwork recommendations.
Prepare and review Geotechnical Engineering Reports, Geotechnical Data Reports, foundation recommendations, design memoranda, and earthwork specifications.
Communicate project status, technical findings, and recommendations with clients, project managers, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Participate in client meetings, proposal preparation, and business development efforts while building long-term relationships with renewable energy developers, EPC contractors, and project stakeholders.
Collaborate closely with civil, structural, electrical, and survey teams to deliver integrated engineering solutions.
