Geotechnical Principal Engineer
Primary responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise and support to Geotechnical staff within a branch and region.
- Host or attend project meetings with clients and/or ECS staff to offer technical solutions as needed.
- Mentor Associate Principals.
- Participate in the review committee for candidates seeking Associate Principal designation (Geotechnical).
Office and Regional Level Duties
- Oversee projects.
- Perform technical report reviews.
- Prepare and review proposals.
- Manage the department and P&L.
- Engage in business development and assist other staff in marketing services.
- Support hiring managers in making staffing decisions.
- Lead and coach junior staff members.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor and/or Master of Science in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geology, or a similar field.
- At least 12 years of related experience.
- Designation as a senior reviewer at your current or previous firm.
- A Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Professional Geologist (P.G.) license in each state where you work.
- A valid driver’s license if driving for, or on behalf of, any ECS subsidiary.
