Geotechnical Laboratory Technician - Houston

About the role

Ardaman & Associates, Inc. is seeking a Geotechnical Laboratory Technician for a full-time position in their Soils Laboratory in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will perform basic geotechnical laboratory testing, including visual classification, moisture content, density, compressive strength, Atterberg limits, and particle size analysis.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic geotechnical laboratory testing
• Sample extrusion and soil sample processing
• Work weekends and overtime as required
• Work on out of town assignments as required
• Lift, carry, push, and pull equipment weighing up to 50 lb.
• Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must have good math skills, organizational skills, and a good attitude
• Get along well in a team environment and be safety minded in all aspects of his work
• Be physically fit and able to spend extended hours working in the laboratory

Requirements

• Excellent driving record within company standards
• Able to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment weighing up to 50 lb.
• Have a High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must have good math skills, organizational skills, and a good attitude
• Get along well in a team environment and be safety minded in all aspects of his work
• Be physically fit and able to spend extended hours working in the laboratory
