Geotechnical/Geostructural Engineer
About the role
The Geotechnical / Geostructural Engineer at GEI's Exton office is responsible for providing support to ongoing design efforts that include preparation of design documents for foundations and excavations support systems; ground improvement; instrumentation; and environmental work. The role requires a strong foundation in soil mechanics, geotechnical engineering, and/or structural engineering concepts, with experience or interest in excavation support design and earth retaining systems.
Responsibilities
- Collect and interpret geotechnical and instrumentation data from site investigation activities.
- Oversee geotechnical field investigations.
- Perform geotechnical in-situ testing.
- Coordinate and interpret laboratory tests.
- Prepare technical memos, reports, and construction specifications.
- Prepare and modify drawings using AutoCad and Revit.
- Provide grouting oversight and design.
Requirements
- B.S. in Civil Engineering with a focus on Geotechnical is required.
- M.S. in Geotechnical Engineering is preferred.
- Minimum of three years of experience is preferred.
- Excellent writing and general communication skills.
- 40-hr OSHA/HAZWOPER training is a plus.
- Ability to travel as required by project needs.
- Ability to perform field work.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license.
Qualifications

Pay Range For This Position: $75,000.00 – $95,000.00/year
