Geotechnical Engineer - Orlando
About the role
Ardaman & Associates, Inc. is seeking a Full-time Geotechnical Engineer to join our Orlando, FL office. This position involves performing geotechnical analyses, drafting reports, and coordinating with field and laboratory personnel.
Responsibilities
- Summarize, evaluate, and present field and laboratory data using Microsoft Excel and Sigma Plot.
- Perform geotechnical analyses using SEEP/W, SLOPE/W, and GMS-MODFLOW.
- Draft engineering reports for senior engineers.
- Research and review information and data for engineering projects.
- Develop and review construction drawings and technical specifications for engineering projects.
- Coordinate with field personnel to perform subsurface exploration program and field tests.
- Coordinate with laboratory personnel to perform laboratory testing on soil, geosynthetic, and water samples.
Requirements
- Master’s degree specializing in Geotechnical Engineering from an ABET accredited program or currently enrolled in a Master’s degree program specializing in Geotechnical Engineering from a ABET accredited program.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Qualifications
- Technically superior.
Skills
- Proficiency in computer worksheet programs (Microsoft Excel, Sigma Plot).
- Experience with geotechnical analysis software (SEEP/W, SLOPE/W, GMS-MODFLOW).
- Strong research and review skills.
- Ability to draft engineering reports and technical specifications.
- Knowledge of construction drawing and technical specification development.
- Experience with subsurface exploration and laboratory testing.
