Role description

Arcadis is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Geotechnical Engineer / Certified Project Manager to join the Commonwealth Edison (ComEd) team as part of the greater Exelon account. The candidate will be responsible for planning and managing geotechnical investigations, performing desktop analysis of soil and rock properties, and preparation of detailed geotechnical investigation reports including recommendations in support of electrical infrastructure construction at Sites within ComEd territory (generally northern IL).

Role accountabilities

  • Help improve quality of life by working as part of our Resilience Environment team.
  • Interact with national and global technical project teams, requiring strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting sometimes demanding schedule expectations.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or related field.
  • Current Illinois P.E. license or ability to obtain Illinois P.E. license.
  • Arcadis CPM designation.
  • 7+ years of experience in geotechnical engineering.
  • Proficiency with technical report writing.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with client and Arcadis internal client support team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $79,920-$153,180. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.

Schedule

Nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year.
