Geotechnical Engineer
Job Details
- Perform geotechnical field investigations including Test Pits, Test Borings, Slope Reconnaissance, and hand augers.
- Draft geotechnical engineering reports.
- Prepare cost estimates and proposals.
- Perform routine tests and computations associated with geotechnical engineering, and field observations.
- Perform laboratory testing and analyses in support of construction and geotechnical engineering projects.
- Attend project meetings, both in-house and with clients.
- Occasional travel and work in remote areas under adverse conditions.
- Occasional lifting of approximately 75 pounds.
Qualifications
- 1-8 years of experience
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, or a related engineering field; Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or related is preferred
- Completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering/Engineer-In-Training (EIT) exam or scheduled
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
