What You'll Be Doing
- Field and lab work related to earthwork, foundation, and construction materials testing
- Managing subsurface investigations (borings, test pits), and analyzing logs, lab data, and site plans
- Performing engineering calculations such as bearing capacity, settlement, earth pressures, slope stability, and pavement section design
- Writing and preparing comprehensive geotechnical reports
- Retaining wall and foundation design
- Slope stability analysis and pavement design
- Project management and client engagement
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a geotechnical focus
- EIT/FE certification strongly preferred; PE license is a plus
- 5-10 years of relevant geotechnical and construction observation experience
- Strong communication and report-writing skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Experience with AutoCAD or CADD is a bonus
